In Jammu & Kashmir, we have the largest number of cardio-vascular patients. Have big number of patients suffering from Cancers, kidney & liver diseases, the diabetes. Our place is one of the most disaster prone areas. It is is vulnerable to earthquake, floods etc etc . Because of these reasons there is a high need for ambulance services in India.
Round the clock Ambulance facilities are available within & outside the Municipal limits of Srinagar besides outside the J&K State in order to cater the emergencies, accidents and natural calamities. Because of this service thousands of patients were carried to the Hospital and to the destinations. Presently the Trust / Society is in possession of Twelve (12) Ambulances. HPVT has Critical Care Ambulance fitted with life saving equipment to cater the critically ill patients who need Ventilator during transportation. This is on record to mention here that a big number of Critical patients including new born babies were carried safely to AIIMS, PGI Chandigarh, Gurugram, New Delhi and other Hospitals outside Valley for further treatment and support.
Two (2) Ambulances (one TATA Winger and 2nd Maruti ECCO) kept exclusively for transportation of Kidney Failure Patients (from their baode to Dialysis Centre and vice Versa).
